DIY Candy Bar Favor

I tend to dislike anything DIY at a wedding. Mostly, I just think it's sad when a bride has to put in so much work that the wedding is no longer fun. But I understand the DIY projects can typically help save money which is a big concern with most weddings.

I do like this DIY Candy Bar Favor from A Kiss of Colour. It looks like an easy enough project and it can be completely customiz-able. Being the control freak that I am, I would even let others help me with this project. It's hard to mess it up. Plus, who doesn't love some chocolate as a favor! And you can get packs of chocolate bars for pretty cheap. I say this is a successful DIY project.

Wedding Invites

I am currently obsessed with good wedding invitations! They're the first real introduction to what your wedding will feel like (I'm including save the dates as wedding invites). Plus this is something that your guests can hold on to, scrapbook, put on the fridge, or just fondly look at when they want to remember what a good time they had. I had a tough time narrowing it down but here are some favorites:

Bridesmaid Dresses

Just like I sometimes get bored with wedding dresses, bridesmaid dress can be notorious for dull, standard dresses. After all, that's kind of the point. You make all your girls wear the same dress and they are not supposed to outshine the bride. While I do get that, I think bridesmaid dresses can still have some personality to them. I know some people vehemently oppose this (my mother included) but I think having different bridesmaid dresses can work really well. But fair warning, I think girls who are really into fashion and styling can handle the different bridesmaid dresses but this trend is easy to do wrong. You need to stay within the same color palette or overall style. Here are some examples of bridesmaid dresses I currently love:

My Perfect Wedding Shoes

I know that wedding dresses typically cover the shoes, but the fashionista in me still thinks they are important. I love a good pair of bedazzled heels, bows, or bright colors. Recently I found what may be my perfect pair of wedding shoes.

For those of you who don't know, I'm a vegan. Honestly, it's hard to make your life fully vegan. You wouldn't believe the things that have animals in them! I don't always search far and wide for the vegan options when it comes to clothing but when I saw that this pair of shoes are vegan, I was a bit too excited!

Not only are the shoes vegan but they look cute and comfy! I love the bow and the nude with a hint of pink coloring. Plus they are small wedge heels with an ankle strap so they'd be easy to walk in. Knowing me, I would probably still change to flats for the reception (they are much easier to dance in and I love to dance) but this pair is just too cute to forget. The website I found them from says they are just $50! Unfortunately, it looks like they are sold out online though.
